LETECH LEATHER MASKING FLUID

A professional water-based masking compound designed to protect stitching during leather recolouring. It forms a thin, flexible film that shields thread from overspray and dye transfer — then peels off cleanly without residues, preserving original colour and texture.

Signature Advantages

• Protects stitching from overspray and colour contamination

• Fast-setting, flexible film that adheres securely to thread

• Clean removal without discolouration or residue

• Water-based formulation safe for professional recolouring workflows

Created for Professionals

• Automotive, aviation, and marine interiors with contrast stitching

• Furniture & upholstery requiring clean separation lines

• Footwear, bags, and leather accessories

• Craft and custom leather projects demanding crisp, precise edges

Material focus: painted/finished leather and artificial leather seams and stitching.

Compatible Materials

Suitable for stitched seams on finished leather, painted leather, and synthetic leather.

(Not intended for suede or nubuck.)

Refined Result

Perfectly preserved stitching with clean colour separation, crisp edges, and zero contamination — ideal for premium restoration and high-detail recolouring projects.

Application Notes

Apply a slightly raised bead directly over the seam using the nozzle or a spatula.

Allow to set fully before spraying or recolouring adjacent leather panels.

After painting, peel or roll the mask off cleanly.

If excess touches nearby leather, redirect it to the thread before it sets.

How to Use — Step by Step

  1. Apply generously: Using the nozzle bottle, lay a thick bead over the seam so the product sits slightly raised.
  2. Shape the mask: If any product gets onto the leather next to the seam, push it back to the thread with a plastic spatula so only the seam stays covered.
  3. Avoid thin coats: Too-thin layers may absorb into the thread and become difficult to remove.
  4. Edge prep (optional): On worn/frayed stitching, trim the fuzz or lightly singe with a lighter for easier coverage and clean peel.
  5. Paint as usual: After the mask sets, perform your recolouring/spraying steps.
  6. Remove cleanly: Once the paint work is finished and dry, roll off the mask with fingers; it should peel away in one piece without residue.

Test first: Always test on a hidden area to verify compatibility and removal behaviour.
